Crustat for Next.js
A small package you add to your Next.js project, built for developers who'd rather add a component than paste a script tag.
Set it up in three steps
- 1
Add the package
Add the Crustat package to your Next.js project: npm install @crustat/next (or your usual package manager).
- 2
Add the component
Import Crustat from @crustat/next and place it in your root layout, so it loads across your whole site.
- 3
Add your site ID
Pass the site ID from your Crustat dashboard to the component, and you're set.
Why it fits
-
Fits your root layout
One component in your root layout is all it takes, no page-by-page setup.
-
Works with your rendering setup
It works the same way whether your pages are rendered on the server or in the browser.
-
Small and quiet
The tracker is tiny, smaller than a single small image, so it won't affect load times.
Questions
Do I add the component to every page?
No. Add it once to your root layout and it covers your whole site.
Do I need to change my pages?
No. The component goes into your root layout once, and every page is counted from then on.
Where do I find my site ID?
In your Crustat dashboard: open your site, then Install. It's next to the line to paste.
